This is Frizzo.

Frizzo is a Ghanaian-German DJ, producer and artist from Düsseldorf, creating high-energy global club music rooted in hip-hop, Afrobeats, house and electronic music. Known for dynamic performances, remixes and original productions, he stands for a multi-genre artistic identity shaped by club culture and international influence.

He has brought dancefloors to life across Europe and beyond — from Hï Ibiza to festival mainstages worldwide, sharing stages and turntables with DJ Snake, Travis Scott, Timbaland, Hugel, Loco Dice and more.

His festival appearances include World Club Dome, Splash! Festival, Rolling Loud Europe, Luciano & Friends (Mainstage), FISHER Wednesdays at Hï Ibiza, Openair Frauenfeld, Heroes Festival and San Hejmo Festival — many alongside Haftbefehl.

As the DJ for Borussia Dortmund, Frizzo performed at the DFB-Pokal Finals of 2012 and 2014, and at the UEFA Champions League Final 2013.

As a producer, Frizzo co-produced the majority of Haftbefehl’s landmark album “Blockplatin” (2013) — one of the most influential German rap albums of its era. His ongoing collaboration with Haftbefehl includes remixes, joint releases and the 2024 single “Money Money (Money Money)” featuring Veysel, which reached #87 in the German singles charts. The original “Blockplatin” was re-released in 2024 as “Platinblock”. Frizzo’s longstanding role as a creative partner to Haftbefehl is documented in the Netflix documentary “Babo – Die Haftbefehl-Story” (October 2025).

His production and remix credits include work for Calvin Harris, Davido, Jess Glynne, Dizzee Rascal, Snakehips, CKay, Joeboy, Kuami Eugene, Loco Dice, Eskei83, Sepalot, Shaggy, Azzi Memo and Dardan — among others.

After signing with Warner Music Germany in 2018 and releasing his debut EP “Game Six”, Frizzo now releases music independently on his own label Bassheim.
